PROGRAM CHANGE / CC 1 — Preset Recall

Triggers
MIDI Program Change (Status 0xC0–0xCF)
CC 1 (Modulation Wheel — value used as slot index)
Slot range
0 – 127 (128 slots total) — PC number or CC 1 value selects the slot
Action
Instantly loads the preset assigned to that slot number. Both PC and CC 1 share the same map, so either message type triggers the same preset for a given number.
Unrecognised slot
Silently ignored — current state unchanged.
Conflict rule
One preset per slot. Assigning a preset to an occupied slot automatically unassigns the previous one.
How to assign
Preset panel → PC# input field next to each preset → type 0–127 and press Enter. The same assignment responds to both incoming PC messages and CC 1 messages with the matching value. Clear the field to unassign.

NOTES

  • CC 1 — Preset Recall: CC 1 (Modulation Wheel) is reserved for preset selection. The value (0–127) is treated as a slot index into the same map used by Program Change. This lets footswitches or controllers that send CC 1 recall presets without needing to send a true Program Change message.
  • Toggle CCs Value < 64 = OFF, value ≥ 64 = ON. Applies to: CC20, 21, 22, 25, 27, 30, 31, 32, 34, 35, 37, 38, 41, 50, 55, 60, 61, 65, 71, 80, 85.
  • Bump CCs (CC63, 67, 68, 73) Each message steps the parameter by a fixed amount. Relative / incremental — send repeatedly to ramp. Not absolute position.
  • Zone CCs (CC42, 51, 52, 53, 56, 62, 66, 72, 74) Send any value inside the target zone to select that option instantly.
  • CC23 — Raana Shifter Pitch: Each message moves pitch by exactly ±1 semitone. Clamped to −12 / +12 semitones.
  • MIDI Channel: Responds to all messages on any channel (Omni mode).
